Here at State Avenue Church of Christ, we have a Preacher rotation of 4 servants of God. Each has a specific week in every month that they present the Word of God on. This brings a Powerful and diverse experience to the body of Christ.
To kick off our service we open up with scripture, followed by worships songs where we all sing together. After worship, the kids go upstairs to Sunday school and then praise and prayer time begins. After that we sing a prayer hymn and have our prayer. Then our sermon is delivered.

What We Believe
At State Avenue Church of Christ, we believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior, who sacrificed Himself for our sins, providing us with the hope of eternal life.

Our purpose here is to fulfill the Great Commission among our people. We strive to obey this commission found in Matthew 28:18-20, "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Also we embrace Galatians 2:10, "All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along."

Preach The Word of God
This is our primary mission as a Church, to handle God’s Word Correctly.

Childrens Sunday School
This aligns with our primary mission as a Church. Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are older they will not depart from it.

Recovery Bible Study
We aim to reduce addiction within the inner city with God’s Word and provide fellowship to those who struggle with substance use.

Jail Ministry
We minister to the incarcerated and develop lasting relationships

Support Missionaries
We support other ministries such as Team Expansion, New Visions Transitional Living and others.
