He Is Not Here. He Has Risen

The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.

- Matthew 28: 5-6

Why we believe what we believe

The Foundation We Stand On

One True God

There is only one true God, revealed to us in the Old and New Testament as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Word of God

The sixty six books of the Old and New Testament are fully inspired and without error and serve as God’s only written word. We believe that The Word of God is Alive and Active.

Salvation

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, and He is in every way our only Savior.

Took Our Punishment

Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life, died on the cross as an atonement for ALL people, and rose bodily from the grave to a state of immortality.

The Great Commision

Jesus commissioned His apostles and His church to present the gospel plan of salvation to every individual of every nation.

Discipleship

The only terms of salvation that we may proclaim are these expressed in the New and Old Testament: faith, repentance, confession of faith (belief) in Jesus Christ, and baptism by immersion in water for the remission of sins and for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Authority of Scripture

The basis of unity of all believers is a commitment to the authority of the Holy Scripture.

The Second Coming

Jesus will one day return in visible form to judge all people and issue either eternal blessedness in Heaven or eternal suffering in hell.

The Comforter

We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian (Christ Follower); that He comforts and guides, convicts of sins, equips and enables for life and ministry. We believe He is the guarantee of our salvation. We believe He works through the Word of God to convert those who are unsaved (or unconvinced) and for us in prayer.
